Desde estos lineamientos me di a la tarea dedescribir y analizar la histeria colectiva ocurrida en el 2007 a cientos dealumnas de un internado de religiosas en México, con el propósito de explicarla desde su experiencia. En esta participación, teniendo como fondo dicha explicación, desde la perspectiva de diversas ex internas afectadas habitantes de la montaña de Guerrero, describo algunos apuntes etnográficos que permiten vislumbrar que la etnia, como marca en el cuerpo, se convierte en uno de los elementos de opresión y de uso cotidiano para el control y domesticación del cuerpo de las internas que ha devenido en un cuerpo etnizado, en su más abyecta expresión.Promoting a reflection within the framework of Physical Anthropology in Mexico, which reveals various epistemic turns, I have proposed the body as a space for the construction of experience and identity, the production of meaning, action and negotiation. It reveals itself as the most immediate terrain where power, suffering and social contradictions are expressed, the processes of racialization and ethnicization, as well as the site of personal and social resistance. From these guidelines I took on the task to describe and analyze the collective hysteria that occurred in 2007 to hundreds of female students in a religious boarding school in Mexico, with the purpose of explaining it from their own experience. In this participation, from the perspective of several former affected inmates who live in the mountain of Guerrero, I describe some ethnographic notes that allow us to glimpse that ethnicity, as a mark on the body.
