Dicha tesis se opone a la sustentada por varios estudiosos, para quienes habría una transformación en sus ideas a comienzos de la década de 1930, que lo erige en portavoz de una conciencia nacional antiimperialista. Sin negar algunos cambios en las temáticas públicas que atraen su interés en la última década de su vida, el artículo investiga las posiciones latorristas en aspectos político-institucionales, sociales y económicos en los períodos previo y posterior a 1930, poniendo de relieve una continuidad esencial de su pensamiento.The paper aims to set a new interpretation of Lisandro de la Torre’s political thought based on the thesis of its substantial unity. This thesis is opposed to the claims of several writers who thinks there is a transformation in his ideas since 1930 that turns him into a politician representing a national conscience against imperialism.
