Constituido en patrimonio urbanístico – arquitectónico, es necesaria la identificación de los valores que se le reconocen como punto de partida para su conservación. Desde la producción del campo de las artes, particularmente en pintura, se rastreauna mirada sensible y reflexiva sobre esta intervención en su devenir. Se reconocen períodos signados por la valoración de la naturaleza en la ciudad, el espíritu bohemio, los contrastes sociales, la crítica a la modernidad y el pintoresquismo romántico, y por otro lado la recomposición del espacio túnel sinuoso continuo que rompe con la regularidad y monotonía urbana.The systematization of the La Cañada stream marked a significant environmental impact over time in the city of Córdoba.
