Se hace hincapié en la novedad de sus medios plásticos y su ordenamiento usando el blanco de la página y la disposición tipográfica del texto como un resorte creativo que remite a Mallarmé y Apollinaire, además del tantas veces comentado contrapunto entre el discurso textual y fotográfico como los fundamentos de una operación vanguardista de éxito. El otro tema son las circunstancias de su publicación (la elección del título, la casa editorial, la autoría, la tirada y las sucesivas reediciones y sus alteraciones) y su inmediata repercusión: las distintas traducciones con sus respectivos enfoques, y la cuestión de su recepción haciendo foco en los comentarios de Theo van Doesburg, Sigfried Giedion, Adolf Behne y Henry Russell Hitchcock .In this paper the construction of Vers une architecture is examined as selective compilation of a series of articles previously published in L'Esprit Nouveau. It emphasizes the novelty of its plastic design, the use of the white of the page and the typographical arrangement of the text as a creative process that refers to Mallarme and Apollinaire, and the frequently commented counterpoint between textual and photographic discourse as foundations of a successful pioneering operation.
