La región fue (re)presentada como paraíso en donde priman “mar, desierto y cordillera” para turistas provenientes de grandes urbes. Esta mitificación también permeó el imaginario de los habitantes del resto de las provincias, que ven a la región como un lugar para “volver a empezar” o escapar de la velocidad de la vida contemporánea. Un tópico recurrente en los films sobre Patagonia son historias de recién llegados y su interacción con el nuevo espacio. El presente trabajo trata sobre cómo son pensadas las experiencias de las migraciones internas en Argentina y las representaciones espaciales y temporales de la Patagonia, a partir del análisis de cuatro films. La imbricación de lecturas a partir de herramientas metodológicas extraídas de distintas disciplinas permite pensar, desde la mirada histórica, algunas de las transformaciones recientes de la sociedad argentina.Noeliberalism in Patagonia was realized through the moving away from the state planning model to a model of financial capitalism. The region was (re)presented as a paradise where almost everything is “sea, desert and mountains”; “pure nature” for tourists from big citys. This myth was also placed in the imagination of the inhabitants of the other argentine provinces, who see the region as a place to “start over” or to escape from the speed of modern life. A recurrent topic in Patagonia films are the stories of newcomers and their interaction with the new place. This paper discusses how experiences of internal migrations in Argentina are thought, as well as the spatial and temporal representations of Patagonia, from the analysis of four films.
