2022-08-202022-08-2020221851-992Xhttp://hdl.handle.net/2133/24187Durante mayo de 2018 una importante cantidad de universidades chilenas fueron paralizadas por estudiantes feministas para denunciar las prácticas de acoso sexual y violencia machista existentes en estos espacios; este proceso se conoció como “Tsunami Feminista”. Este artículo analiza este proceso destacando la importancia de las emociones en el desarrollo del movimiento, como también en la utilización de distintos repertorios de acción y marcos estratégicos que organizaron y dieron sentido al Tsunami Feminista y su denuncia de la violencia machista. El trabajo metodológico se basa en el análisis de grupos de discusión realizados a estudiantes y activistas feministas, complementado con una revisión de prensa. La hipótesis que proponemos es que las emociones son fundamentales para comprender el desarrollo del Tsunami Feminista, sus repertorios de acción y propuestas, como también la construcción de marcos de interpretación y análisis que permitieron a las estudiantes visibilizar la violencia y acoso sexual al interior de las universidades, y promover cambios que se traducen en la creación de nuevos protocolos, oficinas de género, y en el debate sobre la educación no sexista.In May 2018, many Chilean universities were paralyzed by feminist students to denounce the practices of sexual harassment and sexist violence existing in these spaces; this process became known as the “Feminist Tsunami”. This article analyze this process, highlighting the importance of emotions in the development of the movement, as well as in the use of different repertoires of action and strategic frameworks that organized and gave meaning to the Feminist Tsunami and its denunciation of sexist violence. The methodological work is based on the analysis of discussion groups carried out with feminist students and activists, complemented with a press review.
