Primero reflexionar sobre la articulación entre imágenes y testimonios orales en el documental El Botón de Nácar (2015) de Patricio Guzmán, dando lugar a lo que considero es un “discurso de oposición” creado por el director para disputar con el discurso histórico construido a la medida del Estado Nación chileno. En segundo lugar, y partiendo de la premisa planteada en el filme respecto de que “el agua tiene memoria y tiene voz”, pretendo explorar la idea según la cual los elementos constitutivos del territorio son capaces de testimoniar. Esto abre la posibilidad de ir más allá de las voces, fonemas y palabras propias de la expresión humana, para incluir en este caso el agua como portadora de una voz también subalternizada y desoída en el relato histórico hegemónico.Starting from the assumption according to which there is a critical relationship or it could also be said dialectical, between images and words; The present work focuses on two fundamental objectives. Secondly, based on the premise raised in the film that "water has memory and has a voice", I intend to explore the idea according to which the constitutive elements of the territory are capable of bearing witness.
