This article proposes an integrative approach between the legal perspective of asylum and the critical view of forced migration, aiming to rethink the governance of international mobility from a multidimensional perspective. Through a theoretical analysis and historical review of both frameworks, it argues that, while the asylum/refugee system, based on documents like the 1951 Geneva Convention, is limited to specific persecution cases, the concept of forced migration broadens the understanding of human displacement by addressing structural causes such as neoliberal policies and international conflicts. The article highlights that the intersection of these approaches is not only possible but necessary to address the structural inequalities in migrant protection and to understand international mobility as a complex process driven by political, economic, and social factors. The main findings include the need to rethink legal solutions and the urgency of integrating both frameworks for a deeper understanding of contemporary migration realities.1-27esopenAccessRefugiadosMigración forzadaDerechos humanosPolítica migratoriaGobernanza de la movivlidadDel refugio a la migración forzada : análisis de las perspectivas jurídicas y críticas en la gobernanza de la movilidad internacionalarticuloAutor y Facultad de Ciencia Política y Relaciones Internacionaleshttps://doi.org/10.35305/cc.v2i24.164Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International You are free to: Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material The licensor cannot revoke these freedoms as long as you follow the license terms.
