[en] This paper aims to reconstruct and reflect on the debate about eroticism and sexuality between the Freudian perspective echoed by Herbert Marcuse and Michel Foucault's researches. This work involves a contrastive analysis between a repressive hypothesis about a sexual order -Freudian psychoanalysis and the called Freudian left who articulated concepts of Freudian psychoanalysis and Marxist- and Foucault's theory and its assumptions about the productivity of the discourses of sexuality. In this context the question arises whether Foucault completely abandons the hypothesis of repressed sexuality. Why first speak mostly of eroticism and why the second does focus on sexuality? If we assume that both positions criticize the sexual order in place, how they imagine the possibilities for change? To answer these questions we will trace the conception of eroticism in Freud and Marcuse and then compare it with Foucault's proposal
