El sector metalmecánico de rosario: Un estudio de sus ramas tradicionales más representativas en las últimas décadas

El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar los aspectos relevantes de las principales ramas de actividad que integran del sector metalmecánico de Rosario, reconociendo su aporte a la economía local. Asimismo, se analizan algunas características principales de las empresas pymes que integran estos sectores a partir de la información proveniente de los relevamientos 2001 y 2010 de la industria manufacturera.
La rama metalmecánica fue y es la de mayor peso en la región por el número de empresas y su aporte al valor agregado. El análisis de las distintas variables en los años 2001 y 2010 muestra que las divisiones analizadas en el sector metalmecánico han tenido comportamientos y trayectorias heterogéneas, pero en su conjunto han podido superar etapas adversas, aunque en algunos casos disminuyó el número de empresas.
The objective of this work is to study the relevant aspects of the main branches of activity that make up the metalworking sector of Rosario, recognizing its contribution to the local economy. Likewise, some main characteristics of SME (Small Medium Enterprises) companies that integrate these sectors are analyzed based on information from the 2001 and 2010 surveys of the manufacturing industry. The metalworking branch was and is the most important in the region due to the number of companies and their contribution to added value. The analysis of the different variables in the years 2001 and 2010 shows that the divisions analyzed in the metalworking sector have had heterogeneous behaviors and trajectories, but as a whole they have been able to overcome adverse stages, although in some cases the number of companies decreased.
