This article analize Futura, a theatrical performance presented in 1968 at the Instituto Di Tella in Buenos Aires. Arguing about the conditions of social life in a modern city such as Buenos Aires was in the Sixties, Futura articulated social critics and utopias that thought about sensibility, contacts and communication. Affirming the need to change, while constructing a series of images of future, Futura operated in a historical conjuncture which produced many speeches about the future, vaguely appealing to notions coming from psychology, technology and sociology. Making use of some authors who have investigated about the city, the masses and the feelings, we believe it is possible to deal with Futura trying to contribute to the characterization of the ways in which present was comprehended and future imagined in the recent history of Argentina.
