Resumen
Descripción
Dentro de la concepción
ideológica y poética de Esquilo, este
trabajo reconsidera la posición de las
Danaides como sujetos capaces de
constituirse como heroínas trágicas en
las Suplicantes, aplicando la teoría de
género y la teoría psicoanalítica. Se
concluye que las protagonistas no
exhiben las condiciones necesarias para
acceder a la actitud trágica, anulada por
la posición histérica que se identifica
con la rebeldía de género. Su reclamo
no encuentra cauce en el discurso; no
hay en los parlamentos del Coro λόγον
διδόναι: el conflicto se manifiesta sólo
emotiva y somáticamente. En el teatro
de Esquilo, la condición del hecho
trágico es la existencia de un sujeto
consciente de su conflicto. Las
Danaides presentan una incipiente
actitud trágica (hay en ellas ἁμαρτία y
ὕβρις), pero esa actitud no incluye la
simbolización del conflicto trágico, es
decir, su puesta en discurso.
In the frame of Aeschylus’ poetics and ideology and applying gender and psychoanalytical theories, this paper aims to consider the Danaids position in the Suppliants as subjects capable of being tragic heroines. We come to the conclusion that the protagonists do not exhibit the necessary conditions to perform a tragic attitude, invalidated by the hysterical position identified with gender rebellion. Their claim is not embodied in a discourse; there is no λόγον διδόναι: only somatic and emotive expression. In Aeschylus’ theater, the condition for the existence of the tragic fact is the existence of a subject with a tragic conscience. The Danaids present an incipient tragic attitude (ἁμαρτία and ὕβρις), but this does not include the simbolization of the tragic conflict, namely, a discourse about it.
