La vinculación entre educación, cuidado y movilidad : una aproximación a la situación en la región metropolitana de Buenos Aires

Descripción
El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar las
formas en que se movilizan niños, niñas y adolescentes
(NNA) en la región metropolitana de
Buenos Aires (RMBA), y qué tipo de estrategias
de cuidado despliegan los hogares, y con ello las
mujeres para garantizar el acceso al sistema educativo
en tanto acompañan a sus hijos e hijas en
los trayectos escolares. Para ello se analiza en
primer lugar la disponibilidad de oferta educativa
en Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (CABA)
y en provincia de Buenos Aires, tanto dirigida a
primera infancia, como a nivel de educación primaria,
en base a la información disponible. En
segundo lugar, se presentan los recorridos que
realizan NNA para llegar a la escuela y quienes
son sus acompañantes, y que medios de movilidad
utilizan. El artículo concluye con recomendaciones
de políticas de cuidado y transporte
urbano que promuevan efectivamente abordajes
transversales y favorezcan responsabilidades sociales
de cuidado más equitativas
The objective of this article is to analyze the ways in which children and adolescents mobilize in the metropolitan area of Buenos Aires (MABA), and what kind of care strategies are deployed by households, and with that, women to guarantee access to the education system as they accompany their sons and daughters on their way to school. To that reason the first analysis is regarding the availability of educational provision in the autonomous city of Buenos Aires (CABA) and in the province of Buenos Aires, both for early childhood and primary education, based on the information available. In second place the paper presents the routes that children take to get to school and who are their companions, and what means of mobility they use. The article concludes with recommendations for urban transport and care policies that effectively promote transversal approaches and favor more equitable social care responsibilities
