Currículum, técnica y escolarización : aliados de una travesía educativa

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza la relación entre la escuela y el currículum considerando a éste último un artefacto educativo surgido en el contexto de valoración de la técnica de principio del siglo xx. En tanto invento, no ha sido neutral y se demuestran algunas razones sociológicas y políticas que dieron origen al currículum como una creación propuesta para el control y la racionalización de la sociedad industrial. Para ello se realiza un análisis de las transformaciones que permitieron la creación de la escuela y la posterior aparición del currículum y se profundiza el estudio de la racionalidad curricular técnica, a través de las obras de Franklin Bobbit y Ralph Tyler. También se intenta establecer relaciones entre el contexto de surgimiento del curriculum y la expansión de redes para la comunicación masiva, cuestión que también ayuda a entenderlo como dispositivo comunicacional, aunque esta idea no constituya las nociones básicas del currículum.

This paper is about the relationship between the school and the curriculum considering the last one as an educational artifact that emerged in a context of increased technique valuation at the beginning of the twenty century. As an invention, it wasn’t neutral and many sociological and policies are demonstrated to have given birth to the curriculum as a creation for the control and rationalization of the industrial society. To demonstrate that, there is an analysis of the transformations that permitted the creation of the school and the posterior appearance of the curriculum and deepens in the study of the technique curriculum rationality through Franklin Bobbit and Ralph Tyler’s books. There is also an intent to found relationships between the emerging context of the curriculum and the massive communication networks expansion, which helps to understand the curriculum as a communicational device, although it’s not constitutive as a basic notion of the curriculum.
